Xeomin (incobotulinumtoxinA, Merz) is a highly purified botulinum toxin type A product from which accessory complexing proteins have been removed, leaving only the active 150 kDa neurotoxin molecule. This protein-free formulation may reduce the risk of antibody formation with repeat treatments. Supplied as 100-unit lyophilised vials, it is FDA-approved and CE-marked for glabellar line correction (20 U standard dose) and upper-limb spasticity; aesthetic applications extend to crow's feet, forehead lines, and brow lifting.

Supplied as a 100 unit vial of botulinum toxin type A in lyophilized form.

Protocolo

Reconstitute the 100-unit vial with 2.5 mL of preservative-free 0.9% NaCl to yield 4 U/0.1 mL. For glabellar lines: inject 4 U per site (0.1 mL) into 5 sites — 2 in each corrugator muscle, 1 in procerus — using a 30–33G × 13 mm needle intramuscularly. Typical aesthetic full-face session uses 40–100 U. Onset within 3–7 days; duration up to 3–4 months. Refrigerate unused vials; use reconstituted product within 24 hours.
