A hydroquinone-based depigmenting cream and Korea’s best-selling melasma/hyperpigmentation treatment. Hydroquinone works by inhibiting tyrosinase — the enzyme that triggers melanin production — to gradually fade dark spots and even out tone. The manufacturer cites a 12-week clinical study in which 38.1% of the 4% hydroquinone group showed treatment effect versus 8.3% in the control group. The Light Cream (2%) is the gentler option for sensitive skin or as a starting strength. • Patch test first: apply behind the ear or under the jaw for 24h before full use. • Apply 1–2× daily (morning and before bed) to the affected area only — not the whole face. • Best applied in the evening after cleansing and basic skincare (toner/lotion). Cleanse off thoroughly in the morning. • Daytime sun protection is essential — sunscreen, hat, or parasol. • Color turning brownish is a normal reaction of the active and does not affect use. • Evaluate at 2 months: if no change, discontinue; if improving, continue 3–4 more months.
