Lipotocin Inj. and Glutaone Inj. are two Korean prescription injectables. Lipotocin contains thioctic acid (alpha-lipoic acid) as the tromethamine salt, supplied as a ready-made solution for intravenous use. Glutaone contains reduced glutathione, supplied as a lyophilized powder for intramuscular or intravenous use. Both are classified as prescription-only medicines

Thioctic acid injection is generally approved in Korea for symptoms of diabetic peripheral neuropathy, such as numbness, pain, and burning. Glutathione injection is generally approved as adjunct therapy in liver disease, drug or heavy-metal poisoning, and certain chemotherapy side effects. The popular combination "beauty drip" for skin brightening, fatigue, or weight loss is off-label.
Упаковка
Lipotocin Inj. comes as a solution in 12 mL ampoules, 10 ampoules per box, for intravenous use. Glutaone Inj. comes as a lyophilized powder in vials of 1200 mg each, 10 vials per box, for intramuscular or intravenous use.
Протокол
Both products are prescription-only and must be administered by licensed medical staff. Thioctic acid can cause low blood sugar, especially in diabetic patients on medication, as well as allergic reactions, nausea, and a sulfur-like urine odor. Its ampoules are light-sensitive and should be protected from light. Glutathione carries a risk of anaphylaxis. Neither product should be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice.
