Description

MelaNosa Cream 4% is a medical-grade depigmenting cream containing 4% hydroquinone, which inhibits tyrosinase — the rate-limiting enzyme in the melanin biosynthesis pathway — to reduce melanin production and progressively lighten hyperpigmented lesions. It is indicated for melasma (chloasma), post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, freckles, senile lentigines (age spots), and solar lentigines caused by excess melanocyte activity in the epidermis. The 30 g cream format supports localized or zonal application across facial and body hyperpigmentation zones.

Indication

• Melasma (chloasma) • Freckles • Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation • Age spots / sun spots • Uneven skin tone due to excess melanin

Packaging

Supplied as a 30 g tube per unit, as stated in the product specification.

Protocol

Apply a thin layer to affected areas once or twice daily (morning and evening); avoid contact with periorbital and perioral mucosa. Mandatory broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen during daytime use to prevent photoreactivation of melanocytes. Standard treatment duration is 2–6 months; reassess at 8 weeks. Limit continuous use to 6 months; taper and incorporate alternative brightening actives for maintenance to reduce risk of ochronosis.
