Alpha-lipoic acid is a universal antioxidant that regenerates vitamins C and E, inhibits melanogenesis via tyrosinase suppression, and protects against oxidative glycation; combined with ascorbic acid, it enhances glutathione recycling, collagen synthesis, and systemic skin brightening.
