Lipotocin Inj. contains thioctic acid (alpha-lipoic acid) 300 mg per 12 mL ampoule, supplied as 10 ampoules per box. Alpha-lipoic acid at this higher dose acts as a potent antioxidant and lipolytic co-factor, inhibiting fatty acid synthesis and enhancing mitochondrial energy metabolism, making it effective for body contouring, metabolic skin treatment, and localised fat reduction protocols when combined with lipolytic agents. It is also used as adjunct therapy in diabetic polyneuropathy and hepatic protection protocols.

Protocol
Administer by slow IV infusion; dilute 300 mg (12 mL) in 250 mL normal saline and infuse over 30–60 minutes using a 21–23G IV cannula. For lipolytic or metabolic protocols, combine with phosphatidylcholine or L-carnitine infusions, administered 1–2 times per week for 6–10 sessions. Protect from light. Avoid co-administration with thiamine-depleting agents. Monitor for paraesthesia and hypoglycaemia, especially in diabetic patients.
