Description
Restylane Volyme is a Galderma OBT cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler at 20 mg/mL with lidocaine 0.3%, formulated specifically for volume restoration of the mid-face, cheeks, and malar region. The resilient, firm gel integrates with cheek tissue to restore youthful projection and correct volume deflation, with results reported to last 12–18 months in clinical studies. It is CE-marked for facial volumising in the supraperiosteal and deep subcutaneous planes.

Packaging
Supplied as a 1 mL pre-filled syringe containing HA 20 mg/mL with lidocaine 0.3%.
Protocol
Inject supraperiosteally over the malar eminence or into the deep fat compartments of the mid-face using a 25G or 27G needle or 25G cannula. Deposit product in 0.1–0.3 mL deep boluses; avoid superficial placement which risks the Tyndall effect. Typical full-cheek volumising requires 1–2 mL per side. Aspirate before each bolus. Massage after injection to ensure symmetrical distribution. Touch-up at 4–6 weeks.
