HYCOBAL INJ.
Hydroxocobalamin 5mg/2 mL (Vit. B12a), 2 mL x 50 ampules
Description
HYCOBAL INJ. provides hydroxocobalamin (Vitamin B12a) at 5 mg per 2 mL ampoule for intramuscular or intravenous administration as a high-potency B12 repletion therapy. Hydroxocobalamin is the preferred depot form of cobalamin, retained in tissues significantly longer than cyanocobalamin; it acts as a co-factor for methionine synthase and methylmalonyl-CoA mutase, supporting DNA synthesis, myelin maintenance, neurological function, and erythropoiesis. Indicated for B12 deficiency, pernicious anaemia, peripheral neuropathy, and adjunctive neurological and energy support infusions.
Indication
Designed for clinician-supervised protocols intended to address peripheral and neuropathic discomfort and to support Vitamin B12a status within professional care settings.
Packaging
Hydroxocobalamin 5 mg / 2 mL, supplied as 2 mL × 50 ampoules per box.
Protocol
For B12 deficiency repletion: administer 1,000–5,000 mcg (0.4–2 mL) IM into the gluteus maximus or deltoid 3 times weekly for 2–4 weeks using a 23G 25 mm needle, then monthly for maintenance. For IV wellness protocols, add to an existing drip at 1,000–5,000 mcg per session. Rotate injection sites to avoid local induration; monitor serum B12, CBC, and methylmalonic acid response.
