Description
Muchcaine (100 g tube) is a eutectic lidocaine 25 mg/g and prilocaine 25 mg/g topical anaesthetic cream in a 100 g tube, providing an intermediate-size option between the 30 g personal tube and 500 g bulk jar. The EMLA-type eutectic formulation penetrates intact skin under occlusion to depths of 3–5 mm, blocking both A-delta mechanonociceptors and C-fibre polymodal nociceptors via sodium channel inhibition, reducing pain associated with injections, laser, and permanent cosmetics. The dual-agent formula provides broader sodium channel coverage with a favourable safety margin.
Indication
Intended for topical application by trained professionals before aesthetic procedures requiring controlled superficial skin numbing of the targeted treatment area.
Packaging
Each unit contains one 100g tube of Muchcain with Lidocaine 25mg + Prilocaine 25mg.
Protocol
Apply a uniform 2–3 mm layer to the clean, dry area and cover with occlusive wrap for 30–45 minutes (45–60 minutes for deeper procedures). Remove and wipe the area clean before beginning the treatment. Do not exceed 184 mg lidocaine per 24 hours on intact skin. Prilocaine can cause methaemoglobinaemia at excessive doses; adhere to dose limits. Not for use on mucous membranes without specific clinical indication.
